Tom Peashey was born into a drum corps family and began his career in the activity at a very young age. His performance career has spanned over 4 decades while his overall career now spans over 6 decades. He was a founding member of the Fulton Gauchos and Co-Founder of The Oswego Black Knights. For many seasons, he performed with both the Syracuse Brigadiers, Rochester Crusaders (where he won two American Legion National Championships) and just this past season with The Dansville White Sabers. In the late 1960’s, he became a visual caption adjudicator and went on to a long career in judging Winter Guard, Drum Corps and Marching Bands. He’s the former Chief Visual Judge of both New York Federation and Drum Corps Associates.

In Administration and instruction, Mr. Peashey has much experience including being past Corps Director of The Rochester Crusaders where his corps placed consistently in the top 5 of DCA. He has served many corps as an advisor, administrator, performer or instructor. The list includes Rochester Crusaders, Syracuse Brigadiers, Rochester Patriots, Dansville White Sabers, Magic of Orlando, Seattle Cascades, Kidsgrove Scouts (UK), Yokohama Inspires (Japan), Heartliners (Ludwigshafen, Germany) and numerous other drum corps, marching bands and winter guards.

For over 15 years, he served as National Director of Public Relations and Marketing for Drum Corps Associates. Tom was inducted in 2006 into the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Halls of Fame for The Rochester Crusaders and Northeast Color Guard Circuit. He was awarded a Lifetime Membership in the Syracuse Brigadiers Alumni Association and in 2000 was recognized by Drum Corps United Kingdom.

Tom studied secondary education, history/social studies at SUNY Oswego where he also pursued a music minor, this was along with additional management studies at St. John Fisher College. He had a long career in high tech marketing and has traveled extensively internationally. In his retirement, he has published 4 novels and has several more in process. He also acts as copy editor for numerous other authors and has over 160 novels edited to his credit. Tom recently lost his spouse of almost 50 years and currently resides in Webster, NY. He has 3 children and 6 grandchildren in the Rochester, NY area.
