2022 Auditions - 1st April Camp

PLEASE ONLY PAY THE AUDITION FEE ONCE! Contracted members are expected to have made their initial membership payment before the start of the camp or during check in.

This camp will start at 7pm on Friday, April 1 at North Marion HS. Overnight housing will be provided and the camp will end at approximately 2pm on Sunday. Heat Wave will provide all meals starting with a snack on Friday night and ending with lunch on Sunday.

Participants should arrive at North Marion HS between 7 and 8pm on Friday. Participants who must arrive outside the check in period should email alex@heat-wave.org or call the corps at 813-609-2831 for specific instructions on where to go when they arrive.

Participants should bring their instruments or any equipment, if possible, as corps’ instruments and equipment may be limited during audition camps.  Participants should bring two pairs of comfortable athletic shoes, an air mattress, sleeping gear, a towel, any personal toiletries needed, a one gallon water jug, any medications that need to be taken, and any other equipment you will need for the weekend. Participants will be staying overnight at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 145 in Ocala, FL close to North Marion HS (the corps will provide transportation for students who do not drive).

If you feel unwell or have been recently exposed to someone with COVID-19 please submit a video audition. All in attendance should also complete the COVID Event Screening Form (link below) to turn in at check-in.

The $50 audition fee covers your participation in all Heat Wave auditions until you are offered a contract. Once offered a contract, you must either make all payments per the schedule or pay a $150 camp fee which will count toward your membership fees once you accept the contract offer. Prospective members who have already paid the $50 audition fee should RSVP using the link sent to their email. This registration is for new members only. All audition and camp fee payments are nonrefundable.
